Long Trail Brewing Company, Cranberry Gose – 6 packs
A gose is an old style of unfiltered wheat beer that originated in Leipzig. Brewing with a relatively low hop content, brewers added ground coriander and, most importantly, salt to these beers. The result is a salty, extra tangy wheat ale. Like with Berliner Weizen, Gose drinkers would often add fruit syrups to the brew to balance out the taste. Here, Bridgewater Corners, VT’s Long Trail Brewing Company takes inspiration from that practice by adding cranberries from Bluewater Farms in Massachusetts to give us a tart but refreshing beer.
